Beyond the warm welcome at the airport, we also organize a grand welcome party for all students arriving in District 3510. This event provides a valuable opportunity for them to meet one another, mark the beginning of their exchange experience, and start building friendships in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, setting the tone for the exciting journey ahead.
A stage dedicated to each exchange student
Our welcome party follows a format inspired by the Rotary International World Convention. The ceremony begins with the introduction of each participating country, followed by the announcement of the students’ names, allowing everyone present to get acquainted. At this moment, the spotlight shines on each student, symbolizing that they are the stars of the evening and ensuring they feel recognized, celebrated, and warmly welcomed.
Capturing Memories & Bridging Cultures
At the welcome party, professional photographers are on site to capture individual portraits of each student, preserving precious memories of their first moments in Taiwan. In addition, past exchange participants, known as Rotex members, are invited to assist the event. They serve not only as support for the activities but also as an essential bridge for new students to better understand Taiwanese culture, helping them adapt and connect more quickly to life in the local community.
Orientation & Cultural Introduction
After the grand welcome party, an orientation session is held for the exchange students. During this session, they learn about Taiwanese culture as well as the operational guidelines and structure of the RYE program, helping them better understand their upcoming exchange experience.
