A Chinese Singing Contest for Exchange Students / 外國交換生的中文歌唱比賽

Although exchange students spend an entire year in Taiwan, learning Chinese can initially feel challenging. However, with dedication and practice, many students are able to hold simple conversations in Chinese within just three months, achieving impressive progress.

Learning Chinese Through Music

To support language learning in a fun and engaging way, the committee organized a Chinese singing contest. Music knows no borders, and familiar melodies make learning lyrics and pronunciation more approachable. Singing Chinese songs helps students naturally improve their listening skills, pronunciation, and confidence in using the language.

On the day of the contest, many students arrived dressed up, clearly showing how much effort they had put into their performances. From song selection to stage presence, their enthusiasm filled the venue with energy and excitement. More than a competition, the event became a joyful platform for students to showcase their progress, celebrate cultural exchange, and experience how music can make language learning both effective and enjoyable.
